All the work made at Wells Street Studio is hand-made and glazed by Hayley West on Gadigal land, Newtown, Sydney.

Some items may have a slight variation in size, colour and form from the images shown although I do endeavour to describe and photograph the work as accurately as possible.

Postage & Shipping


Orders are shipped using Australia Post or Sendle and delivery costs are set at a flat rate. If you have any questions, concerns, would like to discuss alternate delivery options or a more accurate quote for delivery please get in touch. Where applicable you will be notified of your tracking number once your package is shipped.

International buyers 

If you would like to discuss freight options including international shipping please get in touch for a quote prior to placing your order. All import duties, taxes and charges are the buyers responsibility.

Shipping Times


Shipping times of 3-5 days are offered as a guide only and I’m sure you can appreciate that any delivery delays after your order has left the studio are out of my control. During peak holiday periods additional delivery time will need to be allowed for. Orders are also able to be collected from the studio in Sydney. Please allow a few days for the order to be picked and packed and text before arriving. My mobile will be provided upon ordering. Orders can be placed outside in a bag with your name on it for contactless collection, or during covid -safe times you’re welcome into the studio.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges


A lot of care is taken in packaging all work for delivery. In the rare circumstance that your items do not arrive in one piece, please photograph any damage and contact me immediately so we can arrange a refund or exchange.

We offer refunds and exchange on products that are unsafe or significantly different from the description or photograph, please contact us immediately to arrange a refund or exchange. Any additional return shipping and postage charges are your responsibility. We do not provide refund or exchange for change of mind.

UPDATE COVID- 19

As news about the Coronavirus continues to develop, the health, safety and well-being of everyone attending workshops is a priority. To ensure that you and your children are safe please follow precautionary measures by not sending your child to class with an illness. Hand sanitiser, soap and towels for handwashing are available.

If you have travelled to or had contact with someone returning from a high risk area or close contact, please follow advice from the Australian Government, particularly regarding isolation protocol. If you are unwell, the recommendation is you stay at home or consult your GP.

If you are currently a student, any changes to your enrollment can be made in accordance with our policies below. Should you need to withdraw from a class based on medical advice that you should be isolated at this time, policies below still apply.

Cancellations, Refunds, Missed classes & Withdrawals

SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

Wells Street Studio reserves the right to amend any workshop or schedule. In these circumstances, all effort will be made to provide a replacement of equal cost and standing. Should a class have to be cancelled due to insufficient enrollments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class, credit or refund arranged.

Fees and payments for cancellations, withdrawals, missed workshops are non-refundable, unless negotiated otherwise. Once a workshop has commenced there are no refunds, transfers or credits. There are no transfers, credit, refunds or make-up sessions if you miss a worshop or if your personal circumstances change unless negotiated otherwise, and only under extreme circumstances.

If you choose to withdraw from a holiday workshop up to 2 weeks before its commencement, you will not be issued a refund. Exceptions for special circumstances on a case-by-case basis may be granted.

NO refunds, transfers or credits will be made if you withdraw or cancel on the day of the holiday workshop. You may substitute a friend (or sibling) to attend the same workshop you booked for your child as a replacement but all substitutions must be made at least 1 day BEFORE the class commences.

All works made during school holiday classes will be available for collection as soon as possible but are dependant on firings. Parents/ carers will be notified via email when work is ready to be collected and arrangements can be made from there regarding picking up the work.

Please note any works not collected will be disposed of after 6 months.

AFTERSCHOOL CLASSES

We make every effort to ensure afterschool classes run as scheduled. However we reserve the right to alter the class before commencement and cancel any class if the required number of enrollments are not received. A full refund will be provided to enrolled students should this occur.

Fees are non-refundable, for missed classes unless negotiated for an extended illness. There are no transfers, refunds or make-up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change unless arranged otherwise.

To allow for me to have sick days for emergencies or illness during covid times, 2 classes in any term may be cancelled and are non-refundable. If time allows a make-up class will be offered or students are welcome at attend other days to make classes up where space allows.

Workshop materials / Firings

All materials and firings are included in the fees.

Student Conduct

Wells Street Studio is a small space attached to a backyard and my home. It is expected that students will respect my home. Discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, race sex, gender, sexuality, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, or religion will not be tolerated. Children deemed to be exhibiting inappropriate or disruptive behaviour may be removed, suspended or expelled from the workshop and parents called to collect their children. It should also be noted that the cleaning of the studio at the end of workshops and classes are a shared responsibility.

Occupational Health & Safety

If you have an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect your participation in a class, you should notify Wells Street Studio at the time of enrollment. All measures are taken to ensure the safety of you and or your child for the duration workshop and classes.

All care is taken to ensure that students have the correct PPE and made aware of any hazards or concerns regarding materials, machinery or practises.

Privacy

Any contact information you supply to Wells Street Studio will not be disclosed except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information that you may provide. Occassionally mail and email to students, past students, parent and/or carers for the purpose of marketing may be sent. Should you wish to not receive mailings please notify us that you wish to unsubscribe and you will be removed from our mailing list.
